i know this could be a long shot and wishful thinking , but does anyone else feel like a takeover of the remaining business is possible in the next few months ???
look at tabcorp, they have some great assets that would complement pointsbet nicely , sky racing and some of the US sports deals.
im sure poinstbets assets , banach/odds factory could even complement tab.
but tab would get to diversify their brand and grab a differenr part of the market and get some exposure to canada.
tabcorp have debt facilities , but why on earth would they or any bsuiness want to splurge right now and pay 5,6,8,10% interest.
they could offer an all equity buyout , yes they dilute themselves by 350m or whatever they buyout is, but thats not hard for a 2bn company to absord.
they also get 85m cash (held) and another ~80m cash (via fanatics in March)
there is all the cash TAH needs to push on with business wide objectives while not touching any interest bearing debt and theu can always use some of the cash to buy back stock.
the PBH business is well placed to keep outgrowing the market, their app and tech is top class , how anyone would use slow and clunky ladbrokes over them i have no idea.
they should be top 3 in Aus in a year or 2 and with the upside Canada brings .... they are ripe for the picking
