just a thought ... the "shorters" prolly knew beforehand where zipper will likely turn the corner and rotated out of their positions ... lol .. the short squeeze you think of might simply be that these "shorters" are now in longs enjoying the ride and pumping the SP ... if this is the case then no-one is burning and all lives happily ever after for the duration of the uptrend ... who knows how this works, the market is indeed a strange place
