BNPL is clearly not doomed, but it will doom businesses which don't have use for it within a portfolio of other profitable enterprises. Anybody who refers to Afterpay must acknowledge its presence within the Square/Cash App ecosystem. Affirm is an interest margin lender and still manages to lose vast sums each year. Klarna is yet to evolve but has a banking licence to supply funds. As a standalone business BNPL has no future. IMO
