Perhaps the bigger miners are just too... focused on production and let exploration wane... which is ironic since they are the ones with the most capital to actually spend on exploration and be self funding.
Agree about Beta Hunt. I do wonder if there will be further consolidation around Beta Hunt/Higginsville, but... perhaps Beta's upside is just so big (without a doubt another couple of Fathers day's and WGX would be sitting pretty), PNR is a more near term step change for WGX production profile.
We will see regarding the rumor's. Personally I would only want WGX script (I sort of have too much SPR, and I think OBM is priced to perfection.... so I don't want overinflated script, vs what I view as WGX undervalued script).
I view PNR as in a particularly weak position, with it's production expected to be flat this quarter, with their major new U/G mine only likely to fully ramp up by April onwards... sure the cash position is healthy, but they are not fully exploiting it.... so for me, it's basically packaged up for sale.
Hi @Yevgeny whilst PNR do have a lot of shares, if WGX offered, for example, an only script offer at 1:19... (One WGX share for every 19 PNR shares) the amount of WGX shares would only increase by approx 335m shares, or... under 1/3. Yes, it's dilution, but... PNRs upside production if achieved through an accelerated development plan by WGX, would quickly mute any overhang. IMHO.
