A straight up Q2 less Q1 calculation does not account for things like dropouts between cohorts as Ash mentioned but also pauses. We know anecdotally from the forums that pauses seem more likely in the early days as carers figure out G1 issues etc.
But totally agree new patient persistence rate would be an interesting metric for them to report to see if there is any difference.
