Kava being Less regulated in Australia was a bit of a political move to win favour with Fiji and the pacific due to the worries about China. We are a fairly conservative nation and we can serve as a test case for Europe. I have not heard of any issues other than old issues with the NT but the problem there like in Germany in the past was probably mixing Kava and alcohol in indigenous communities. If just Kava abuse I can’t see violence being an issue.
Some more serious positive studies around stress, anxiety and sports recovery would help our cause. I quite like the taste of drinking Kava but have trouble with the shots. Flavoured RTD options would be great.
