if you are running the business and plan on running it for years you would much rather have your order in take increase while your revenue is decreasing than have your revenue increasing with your order in take decreasing and the knowledge that you are soon going to be screwed
As your order intake increases you can invest in growth
If you are running your business you also would love to see revenue already forecast for 5 years away.
If you are a share-holder you want to see the revenue hitting soon
Shareholder sentiment is too short term
