I think Patricia Balleen had no H2S or levels so low that it was not required to be removed. The addition of the sulphur processing capability was a major part of the upgrade to the plant and it was needed as Sole gas was found to have H2S levels such that treatment was required for the gas to be saleable. So it is not so much a change in technology but what has been put in is not able to work to design levels because of the foaming and then as as consequence some cleaning requirements which bring downtime.
