agree with @limpopo1492 in that BBP is the maiden voyage... once it is done... and PARTICULARLY IF Telsa are happy to rinse and repeat at multiple locations... we will rapidly get #2 (Townsville IMO) in development and then it will be a case of finding transmission lines which have the best opportunities for best returns... fact that they quote Harding listing NSW in article could also indicate they are looking at Jemmalong and ways to smooth out income profile (if co-locate battery) or reduce network constraint there?


A while ago there was talk that NEON was proposing a virtual interconnect between NSW & QLD... from memory it lost out its bid to an upgrade of the existing interconnect... but IMO - there is a lot of opportunity for BESS to be installed to help move the grid from base load to intermittent profile and first movers will benefit most.
