Think EVS dropped about 10% yesterday which doesn’t
correlate with a 3% drop of the DOW. The DOW is
correcting due to high stock prices and concerns about
interest rate hikes in the near term. Given EVS has minimum
debt, they shouldn’t be too affected by interest rate hikes
so was there a leak after the pump of the two days previous?
Reality is we’ll never know, the only thing the market knows
is today’s results which aren’t exhilarating but they aren’t bad
either so it’s back to a game of patience and hope with all the
hype of having some major strikers in the forward line that the
strikers start kicking plenty of goals and earning their pay. EVS
in time may become one of those defensive stocks with a slow
grind upwards as they steadily add to the ARR, unfortunately for
most retails this still isn’t at a fast enough pace currently to get
within striking distance of the 100 million recurring revenue by
2023 that they were banging on about 12 months ago. It was
suggested that the 100 million of recurring revenue was just the
beginning from memory. Looks like building scale will take time
and investor’s patience will be rewarded in the medium to long
term but not necessarily in the short term. I imagine some
institutions may need to start accumulation, which may involve
slowly buying up and into retailer’s trading profits. Looks like it’s
a tuck this one into the bottom drawer scenario and see what
happens over the next couple of years…
