The real reason retail struggles is because all these pathetic franchises are all the same cheap made crap with no imagination in desgin. Gone are the day's where i would go to Chapel street to find uniq designers for my Saturday outing.
My shopping use to be almost every weekend for clothing.. These day's, if i can be stuffed, it will be once every few months. Most of my shopping is online.. Not because i don't like to drive or finding parking ect.. It's because why would i wast my time going to shopping when i can buy the same crap online.
I have spoken with friends female as well that same the same thing.
When MYR announced Top Shop as the next line to carry, i thought to my self, management are a bunch lackless imaginative suits. I even posted that MYR SP will go down from here on in due to direction they are tacking.
Why the heck would i go to Myer to buy the same thing i can buy few shops down from the original shop ? It makes no friggen sense to carry the same crap. When there is no point of difference, you have automatically lost a % of customers.
Anyway.. give it enough time and the SP will plato for a very long time.. holding on to those select few who can be stuffed walking in the doors while everyone turns to online looking for something different.
