The best value stocks are always the ones that are headed south and hated by the market - hence why the present value. It's difficult to accurately time the entry so in every buy you need to be able to stomach a period of loss before your gains happen. The best contrarian investors can stomach a 50% drawdown as they have belief in their thesis.
