Promos can be done so cheap if the Strategy is done by someone with a Brain in their head.

Eg) Dick Smith wanted to promote his Peanut Butter, so he told some media person he was going to do a comp to see who could live in a cave and eat only Dick Smiths peanut Butter.

Turns out people wanted to do it, one guy actually did it. Not sure what he won from it but Im sure Dick Smith did the right thing and payed out whatever he promised.

The promo cost bugger all but it got his product promoted in the media.

Myer coulddo any of 1000 different things to drag in foot traffic, But IMO they are delibertely sitting on their hands in an effort to drag the SP down.

When a CEO is trying to send the SP for a run, they tend to blow some smoke out their Rse with some curve ball twists . And thats not what the current Strategy is.

But I cant see all of 2018 passing through without some spin and spruking from somewhere.

Like Previous years Charts, Pivots for a run tend to be the new year, The swings from Pivots tend to be over 30c. Myer is low enough that could absorb 30c plus up from here and be same old same for the chart patterns. $1

Unlikely all of 2018 goes past without trading above $1 for some choppy trading.
