I have been involved in personnel reduction events, so what you do is lose low level admin and low level staff; great for headcount and impressive to **promotion blocked**. Moolahwise no real effect, though service levels reduce enormously, ginormously. What's needed is right stock on the floor, right people to assist quickly. Failing that last manager turns off lights.
