I have been involved in personnel reduction events, so what you do is lose low level admin and low level staff; great for headcount and impressive to disallowed. Moolahwise no real effect, though service levels reduce enormously, ginormously. What's needed is right stock on the floor, right people to assist quickly. Failing that last manager turns off lights.
