If consolidation is not needed to compete with the other three, perhaps it is needed to prepare Weebit for bigger and better things.
Weebit has been sending out chips, forming new relationships and narrowing down on a key industry partner.
Perhaps one has been chosen and that partner wants to take an equity share in (and/or accept a board appointment to) a company with a tighter and cleaner share registry.
