I agree with your comments regarding the use of social media by any company representative, little known a CEO. I think that there is a clear risk to the business. I am concerned at what would appear to be a lack of either policy or policy adherence that is in existence is most companies.
I do not care what someone's personal beliefs are, but when they are aired publicly by someone linked closely with the company and such links are evident in the same social media, that is not acceptable.
If this continues there is a clear risk to the outcome of certain business dealings which will have an impact on shareholder return.
Not wanting to seem over the top here, but if this is not corrected in the near future and it is evident that company performance is impacted in some way, what can be done? It is quite said that this even has to be raised.
