Whilst I always welcome more $$$$ in my account, I would prefer to get them via a generous company dividend that rewards shareholders for investing in their company, not from a capital return that forces me to hand back 6.1% of my shares to the company at a time that suits them. My tongue in cheek point was that we have not seen a dividend since Alan Joyce became CEO, very poor in my opinion. I am certainly hoping that we get a good one next year when QAN makes around $2b.
