Qantas is *only* profitable because it's not spending anything on new planes or capex (which is why its planes and service is in such bad shape) and the key points here are that QAN will still be substantially below pre-covid capacity even by the end of FY13... in a world where interest rates and costs due tyo rampant inflation are rising rapidly.
