Yes, in a perverse way, you have to acknowledge the manner in which QAN CEO, and his much-admired Chairman and those skillful executives have shafted anything and everything to get where they are ie the airline itself, the 102-year-old brand, once globally respected and bench marked, the QAN front line service staff, service standards trashed beyond recognition and remediation, loyal travellers publicly sledged by the CEO as being somewhat of a nuisance and causing the check in chaos, open disdain for the workforce as a whole, foreign travellers jettisoned and abandoned at overseas destinations, unauthorised withholding of unused travel credits, and on it goes. Then for placing the airline within weeks of bankruptcy, pays himself and that misunderstood executive team, mega remuneration, bonuses as far as the yes can see with the $2Bn of your money gifted by a friendly and supportive LNP Govt at the time.
