Many thanks Hopeful9, your coal holdings look great despite the fact that at some point, thermal coal must decline. I looked at DBI for a while, was too slow may if it gets down around $2. Our best recent buy is AFG and will buy more as it provides a very healthy dividend.
We started an smsf soon after I became self-employed in 2013. After six months, the scumbag 'financial advisor' decided that "he was the bus driver, wanted to have a happy bus so we needed to get off". It took around painful six months to extract the stocks he had purchased and locked in 'BT wrap' that skimmed another % out for no great benefit. Early 2014, I transferred a bunch of stocks, biggest being EVN, OZL and TLS from my name to the smsf which was timely and offset some of the losses from the financial advisor's fleabags. All this has made us very cautious investors, limiting specs to $5,000 and fully researching everything.
