I've just spent a few minutes checking out the sort of stocks that the "rookie" investor, @MarsC, owns.

I have found him/her to be a shareholder in the following (in no particular order):

Boy, if only I had that sort of investing success when I first started out as a rookie investor.


PS. I haven't calculated it, but just judging by the share price performances of that group of stocks in recent years, I'd say that the poster who owns those stocks will have outperformed any "index", locally and internationally.

All by investing in stocks that form part of the crappy Australian stock market, that oh, so "horrible", place to invest.
