Mate, this keeps getting more sad by the day to watch. Now that there is some tech in place just fire 95% of the company and start completely over at this point. Stop lighting cash on fire and recoup your insanity of cash burn the past year. This business used to be lean, mean and delivered real results. Now they are grossly inflated with non revenue generating, cash burning roles.
A few things;
1. The President/CEO has accelerated cash burn by 1000% and delivered zero performance results with it.
2. The President/CEO fired the entire revenue generating department (sales) to save face for his reckless cash burning. (Cause that makes sense, fire the only people who could plausibly bring you results)
3. The President/CEO has said he went ALL IN on this "Merchant Direct" and "ISO program". Sorry, but that's not a REAL GTM strategy. He has no idea how to actually scale a business. They should be scaling the business via Channel Partners (Integration teams, B2B resellers, etc) ISO is 1/5 of the channel and is only used on product led strategies.
4. WHY aren't consumers using the BNPL (Splitit) product? You can sign a million new merchants a month but if your customer success team can't get merchants to drive the product usage then either you have the wrong team in place or there isn't product market fit.
5. They literally posted a job for a "Corporate Communications Director"! This is incredible and almost comical. They have 68 staff and they want to spend another $150-200K on a useless role you can outsource for 1/5th the cost and get better results? The CEO needs to be the Corporate Communications Director by getting RESULTS and speaking to the investors on how you are doing it.
This company won't succeed until this CEO is out and they start over.
