    No mention has been made of what they're paying for the gas, I assume it's not free, coal mines rarely look after their customers.

    Some interesting points. I see they still say the "proposed" SGM reforms when they've been law since May 2023.

    CRL must batch use their gas, 0.3 PJ/yr works out at 34 GJ/hr, which is about 2 tons of Qld coal energy equivalent. Probably for a weekly anode bake run, might look into that.

    Slides 11 and 12 have a lot of detail, not sure why they're referencing net back gas when it's the measure of the export parity price an LNG exporter can receive for exporting their gas, just say gas price $/GJ at different generation rates.

    But interestingly their use of $50/MW for the first data point aligns with the discussion I was having with @Justadabble the other day, ~$50 must be the floor.
