The company has entered into this purchase without yet having the money to pay for it, albeit it is non-binding at this point. Bank finance for a company with QRS track record would be prohibitively expensive. The only viable way to fund it will be via an equity issue... they mention a rights issue. As a long term shareholder, I pray they don't enter into arrangements with foreign non-bank finance providers as they did a few years back - those arrangements with Vision Opportunity and Platinum Partners were a disaster that cost shareholders a lot. It appeared QRS management didn't properly understand what they were doing. The terms of those convertible notes were always likely to produce a sad outcome for QRS shareholders. At least a rights issue is something the most basic management personnel can understand. Please keep it simple this time!
