Something I was reading in the last few days mentioned that they were going to open up in the US, so maybe the likes of AXE new Chips would be manufactured there and might be more protected if China should try and take over Taiwan.
TSMC might even get some US govt assistance in setting up in the US, providing they're not tied up with the Taiwan office.
