I think you're right that the market is not developed yet. On the other hand the aerospace, defence and security industries will be ready to trial some applications. As you have mentioned, Martin talks about this chip replacing cloud based solutions. This is edge computing where it's not necessary to first read data at the source, send back to the cloud for processing. It cuts the digital bandwidth and data storage as well as critical time is saved.
IBM making its quantum computers available to the world via the cloud is because those computers are housed in a room or in large units. AXE 12CQ is miniaturized mobile. It's going to replace and disrupt whole cloud based paradigms and business models. So for now it might be deployed on satellites, remote oil rigs, submarines etc. And it also looks like it will have some use in mobile devices. In trying to think of a useful end case here, I can't come up with anything other than image detection,classification. Others might have better ideas.
