In a nutshell, hopefully I'm understanding correctly but welcome any corrects.
They have a single qubit carbon nano onion (CNO) more or less working on a teeny tiny chip which requires a magnifying instrument to see. They are using to test creating and reading back the spin of the electronics on this CNO, which is an important step of perfectly the single qubit.
