QUARTER: ANB: Minor Amendment to ANZ Trading Update

ANZ is reissuing its Trading Update release to amend a typographical error in
the 2012 prior period comparison number stated in the announcement.

The First Quarter 2012 cash net profit number used for prior period
comparison was $1.44 billion rather than the $1.49
billion stated in the initial release. All other numbers are as originally
stated.
