Correction to broadband connection total at 30 September 2013
Chorus has identified an error in its previously released broadband
connection numbers as at 30 September 2013.
The number of Basic UBA connections has been revised down by 11,000 to a
total of 268,000. This means that total broadband connections as at 30
September 2013 were 1,124,000 compared to a previously reported total of
1,135,000. The corrected totals are below.
The error stemmed from a data process change post 30 June. This has now been
corrected.
Chorus will next report connection numbers at its half year results on Monday
24 February.

Basic UBA 268,000
Naked Basic UBA 11,000
Enhanced UBA 737,000
Naked Enhanced UBA 84,000
VDSL 9,000
Naked VDSL 4,000
Fibre (Bitstream 2, 3 and fibre subdivisions) 11,000
Total broadband connections 1,124,000
A comparison with 30 June 2013 connection numbers is included in the
attachment.
