"Mr Drury acknowledged that incumbent Intuit was a “little bit more sophisticated” than equivalents in Australia and the United Kingdom but said he believed the company’s online-only strategy would convince customers to switch.
“The big issue really is how quickly they can ramp up their customer base,” Mr Harvey-Green said. “That’s where the opportunity is and the more you find US customers switching to a cloud product that isn’t Xero, the opportunity diminishes faster.
In a year or 18 months’ time we need to start seeing those customer numbers come through in a big way."
