You are right there should be a solution by the time a discovery at Cervantes would be ready to be sold but any uncertainty might delay the drilling and the solution might mean higher transport costs.
Talk of shutting down Brisbane and Geelong refineries too.
Leaving Altona , which refines Exxon's bass strait crude as the only portside refinery in the country.
Seems a crisis with National Security implications to me.
