The Mt Carbine mining team is excitedly awaiting the arrival of upgraded mining fleet to tackle the huge task of shifting the historic 12million tonne low-grade stockpile (0.07% WO3). Here’s just two of the six pieces of kit in transit to Mt Carbine Tungsten Mine, a 980 series loader and one of three Bell500 50-tonne trucks. A vital part of EQ Resources Ltd’s commitment to breathing new life into Mt Carbine, this $1.7 million package is certainly going to get things moving, replacing parts of our current mining fleet, some of which is over 25 years old. The Mt Carbine crew is excited about the rejuvenation of Mt Carbine and rebuilding the mine to its status as a major Australian Tungsten producer. This investment in capital gear shows we are on the pathway to our goals.Once these machines are ready to roll, they will set about mining the stockpile and transporting it for processing through either the high-tech XRT ore-sorter or directly into sorting for the gravity plant. The waste rock is becoming quite popular for road and repairs.
