The bottom line here seems to be if you give them your money by buying shares in the company, they can do whatever they like with it. The share issues and consolidations are examples of how the shares capital can be manipulated to obtain a voting outcome, which they may very well acheive with the propossed Kat Gap disposal.
As has been stated previously , obviously the people who are most disadvantaged are the shareholders who have lost their money. But if they were to franchise this activity, inumerable investors could loose their capital, this is why we have fought so hard.Under the present law, i don't think shareholders can protect themselves from this form of activity .
