Amigos, the geophysical survey had problems - so back to the drawing board on the porphyry at Copper Hill East. But there is some good news though. I have been to Lewis Ponds in the past and its hard to describe, but there are piles and piles of core trays from historic diamond drilling - these piles cover a huge area. I think GRL once had a photo of these piles - last night I looked through old announcements but couldn't find the photo. Yesterday's announcement states that these cores at Lewis Ponds have been re-examined. That is a great move, IMO. Possibly many of these cores were not assayed for gold - also historic logging may have ignored tell-tale signs of gold mineralisation because the companies were focused on base metals. And maybe some cores could have come from areas outside of GRL's JORC-resource. So the new MD and her team have been busy inspecting, re-logging, plus sending samples for assay. Great - think of how much money and time is saved by not re-drilling areas which were previously drilled by other companies. Who knows what the team will find, but hopefully there will be some pleasant surprises when GRL reports on the assays.
