Following the initial results, there was a discussion between geos on X about the possibility of very high-grade Supergene enrichment at the shallow lode towards the surface. Rox drilled multiple holes to test the Supergene theory and these were the dusters. The shallow zone was depleted and the deeper drilling would be expensive so suspended until now. The dusters at Paddy’s in no way overturn the potential of the lode along strike at depth. Link is the main focus of new indicated gold but Paddy’s has the potential to host very high-grade gold to help bring Youanmi into production as a 100,000-ounce-a-year gold producer.
What I’m not understanding is why Rox is not following up the potential game-changing hit at Currans? Pure exploration hole RXRC525 discovered a new 6-metre wide quartz lode 5m @ 5.22g/t gold from just 26m in depth.
Quartz lodes like this are the signature Penny’s, Penny West was a 5m wide quartz lode. These lodes are hard to find and most have been discovered by blind exploration hits eg Spectrum’s Penny Gold now owned by RMS. A couple more shallow RC holes at the new lode would not cost much compared with the DD drilling needed elsewhere. Come on Rox: drill the new lode at Currans!
