Sadly it’s your granddaughter’s reasoning that has been applied and it is completely wrong. The problem is misquoting that number and that banks require that number as a value is frankly ridiculous and childish. The fact that there is zero evidence of it from WWI in all their history tells you how much credence the made up figure holds.
