Hi,
With major developments creating a lot of interest in the graphite space in South Australia, I wanted to take a moment to provide shareholders with a short update on iTech’s Campoona Graphite Project on the Eyre Peninsula.
A lot of the attention has been driven by Renascor's (ASX: RNU) announcement that it has received conditional approval for a $180 million loan from the Australia Government to fund the development of the Saviour Graphite Deposit on the Eyre Peninsula. Renascor’s Saviour Graphite Deposit is only 40 km to the south of iTech’s Campoona Graphite Deposit and shares many similar features.
iTech is currently undertaking extensive test work to refine an economic and sustainable process for producing spherical graphite, for the battery market, from the deposit at Campoona. This test work is being conducted on 'run of mine' samples in partnership with ANZAPLAN in Germany and is progressing well. We expect to release some significant updates in the coming weeks.
In the mean time I wanted to share this short video that explains the strategy behind iTech’s plan for becoming a world leader in the production of environmentally friendly, spherical graphite for the green energy revolution."
