Usually this is due to revenue recognition issues. In most companies, Cash lags the revenue. If a company delivery the goods and/or services on a particular day, the revenue gets recognised on the same day and that revenue get reported. However, customers may take 45/60/90 days some times to pay the cash. So the recognised revenue is usually higher than the cash received. It also means customers still owe cash to the company which may come in this quarter or next.
