This is not a move away from the IoT Gateway, as this will still play a roll in the IoT foundation, but rather developing ways to utilise some of the benefits of ADRC, without making the Gateway a necessary piece if puzzle.

A good way to speed up the take up from consumers, without asking them to go out and buy a Gateway, considering many would not even understand that owning one was necessary previously.

Who knows, from this development we might actually see some consumer products on market late 2017 or early 2018 - That would be significantly earlier than I had imagined/planned for.
