chris6> you look at other commodities and when they run hard the company's that are directly linked to on a run with them.. but we have seen oil go from negative to 80+ with gas and BYE has done what...

So, the market world is not conforming to your world view. The problem with being as brilliant as you are, is that if the dummies disagree then the share price will stay low. Assuming they have more shares to sell than you are prepared to buy. It makes for an interesting game of who is right. In this case Might is right.

    and now for something else

Below is the dxy. The dxy is a measure of the USD against other currencies. As you can see it's been going up since Jul, meaning the price of the USD is going up against most other currencies.

Below that graph is the price of oil in $USD. Which as we all know has been going up. Which is also priced in USD. So if the price of fuel goes up and the price of the USD goes up. Then things get very expensive very fast.

My point is that the 3rd world might have cheap labour. But the fuel to make things and move things is going up disproportionately for the 3rd world. Just when the baby boomers are wanting their money back to retire on. Money has to get expensive in these places. And people are going to run out of luxuries, like food. Take for example Afghanistan, Afghanistan had 12M people in 1980, it's been going up in a straight line to today to today's 40M. (*3) Now that the US has pulled out and confiscated any foreign reserves, What do we think the surplice population (40M - 12M = 28 million) is going to do?

If I had the money I would be getting the hell out of dodge. And where would I put my ill gotten gains? USD sounds good. Which will push up demand for the USD. Rinse and repeat.

This disaster is not that far away from the worlds biggest oil region. What will that do to the price of oil? Rinse and repeat?
