Denis Wood is of course a hard act to follow. His time as Chairman/CEO was characterised by cost cutting, speed, elan and dash. Much like a winger with the ball in hand and the goal posts in sight, weaving through the field. . Our new CEO of course is required to be more painstaking and thorough. We would not want anything else. Compared with the previous few years it may look as though things have ground to a halt but doing groundwork, while essential, is rarely showy. I am as impatient as anyone (and more than most) but I am reluctantly convinced that we are in good hands and going as fast as possible. Having said that, it seems to a rank amateur such as myself that some mineral deposits are clearly mineable and one wonders if the myriad steps of PFS, FS, and then BFS could be short circuited in cases where the answer is "back of an envelope" obvious?
