Good luck mate. Erm. I was/am a "survival nutter". Basically camping on steroids with retired solders. Just a bit of fun for the city kid. Anyway, as a kid I did a lot of reading. One book I read, recounted an actual financial collapse, in South America. Where the local currency went from something to zero in a post industrial middle class society. The result was that after dark, all traffic lights would flash amber because no one in a car would stop, Because otherwise they would be car jacked. Nasty, for sure. But the really bad stuff happened in the wilderness. Where no one could hear you scream and come for help. The conclusion of the book was that the safest place was not in the wilderness. Because no matter what happens, you still need to work, pick up supplies and generally life, bills and taxes goes on. The safest place was in a close knit community of people who would look out for one another. A bit like the Hotcopper forum for BYE shares.
