One of the things I like about Alara are that they are doing this properly - they aren't trying to do this on the cheap using second hand equipment that has been rusting away somewhere for 15 years etc. I've seen too many Aussie gold producers trying to do this and they buy gear that isn't the right size or type for the job but happened to be available and so they grabbed it - and then pay the price later on.
