"As disclosed in the 2021 Annual Report, the Group was in ongoing litigation with both Dampier Gold Limited and Billabong Gold Pty Ltd. A judgement was delivered in respect of the Billabong matter on 14 December 2021. As a consequence, Billabong Gold Pty Ltd have decided to appeal that decision. The matter is currently before the WA Court of Appeal. The Dampier matter was heard before Justice Smith in March 2022 with a decision expected around late 2022 or early 2023. At present the Directors do not believe that it is reasonably possible to estimate any potential obligation in relation to these matters with sufficient reliability and consequently no provisions or contingent liabilities have been raised or disclosed in the financial statements. The Directors do not believe that the settlement of any obligations arising from these matters will be material."
How are investors feeling about this belief? Do investors feel the settlement of these obligations is immaterial?
