I'm not refuting your statement at all, just pointing out there is a lot more work to be done which can only be done by the underground mining company as they have the overall safety of the miners to consider when cutting the portal.

In 12 months time it will look very different as the face will be deeper and bigger when the mining company does it's work.

so the box cut is half done. so it is pointless. The mobilisation and demobilisation cost alone is a dead weight impact on the operation, why didn't they just do it right....because they don't know how.

i have cut several portals, this is a joke.
