Sure, and certainly worked for me in this stock. But some stocks are clearly 'high' at some points and 'low' at others.
People should sell high and buy low, it actually lowers the volatility. Selling close to the top slows the ascent and buying back in when it drops picks up the lows. Causes a 'flag.' But yeah, you might get burned. Each to their own.
