That's a very difficult and personal question as my investment criteria I am sure, differs to everyone else but probably same in that, we all hope to make money. But it would come down to risk v return, which also has a time factor (time value of money is very important).

Right, I took it you meant material as in crystallised. If you are saying that (i.e direct methodology) that you may have various dated items (e.g journaled to accounts receivable) as terms of contract then yes that would reflect in the appropriate quarterly. I'm not confused as to how things work, I'm confused as to what you're trying to say.
