The problem with Cann is that they haven't been focusing on growing quality bud. Their method is ok but they havent optimised the growth cycle for their specific cultivars. Instead, they have focused more on growing the business and expanding their grow facilities. A lot of work has gone into developing standard operating procedures but very little has gone into developing their grow methods to perfect quality and yield of their product. Care for their plants and genetic stock is far down on their priority list. For example, this year alone, they replaced many highly skilled cultivators with casuals with no experience. Good for money saving but terrible for growing quality weed. More than 95% of the current cultivators and corporate staff couldn't actually tell you where the flower of the cannabis plant is, or in which organ cannabinoids are biosynthesised. Mildura will be a powerful facility but it will take a long time to iron out all the kinks in the production cycle and also optimise it for their cultivars. So don't expect quality product to be pumping out of there as soon as construction is finished. Initial crops will be duds and unusable.
Im not saying that they won't get it together and make good revenue eventually, but that it will take time to get the experience they currently lack, and in that time competitors may jump them.
