They patented it in China. Nothing stops reverse engineering anything other than patents, any item can be copied .... no shortage of businesses that would buy a product to pull it apart and copy it. The only protection for a genuine manufacturer/inventor is a patent.... even today in Australia shipments of fake copied items entering the country are siezed.....
.... it is the future of protecting your IP when manufacturing and selling into certain markets, patent it. What else would you suggest? There's nothing else.
